WONDER

Our 2017 school year book club was up to an uplifting start with the novel, WONDER by R. J. Palacio. It was so nice to reconnect with everyone. For those of you unable to attend, we missed you. Hope all enjoyed the discussion, great company, and slow service (haha). Hopefully, after reading about Auggie's life, all of your already overflowing, generous hearts will be filled with even just a little more empathy, love, compassion, and kindness towards others.

It was my pleasure to host September's meeting at Blu Fig --

  1. Wonderful work, Robin! I was reluctant to read this story, but many characters showed such humanity that I was glad to have read it!

  2. Hi Irene,
Thank You for hosting the first book for our 9th year! Woo HOO!!Thank you for all the delicious appetizers. So awesome . I enjoyed the book and the messages thru out. I am really moved by the message of "being kinder than necessary " I want to instill that in my prospective schools this year. We need more kindness to be given to ourselves, our families, our friends and our jobs. I look forward to another year of growing with my book club ladies. Be Blessed Mary

  3. Hi Bookworms,

I read this book in 2 parts -- on audio at the beginning of the summer, and with my eyes at the end of the summer! I truly enjoyed it, so thank you for choosing it Irene. In my super stressed out "OH NO IT'S SEPTEMBER, how can I get through this again?", I'm trying to be "kinder than is necessary" to my more challenging kids. Thank you Irene, for the delish appetizers.
